MSM   The DSA estimate that an average pupil will take at least 40 hours tuition to pass the current driving test, and this is set to double by 2010, compared to about 18 hours just 20 years ago.

To become a driving instructor (ADI) you need to have your name entered into the DSA 'Register of Approved Driving Instructors'. You can achieve this by passing 3 ADI exams. You must have held a full UK or EU car driving license & to have held this license for four out of the past six years

You have to be a fit and proper person to have your name entered into the ADI register.

 Motoring offences still in force are taken into account when assessing your suitability

You must not have been disqualified at any time during the last 4 years

Part 1

Examination, which comprises of 100 multi choice questions and a hazard perception test. The topics covered include knowledge of the Highway Code, driving and teaching techniques, the UK driving test and hazard awareness.  All material supplied is free this is done at home in your spare time, support, on-line or phone is free 
 

Part 2

Practical in-car driving skills 10 to 12 hours. Training will be conducted around DSA test centres routes.

Part 3

Is done in-car and includes the full 40 hrs TRAINING CURRICULUM as required by The Driving Standards Agency.

Option of taking out a trainee license to earn while you learn.
